About Chloe

In 2012, I graduated from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, a performing arts high school in Jacksonville, FL. I majored in Creative Writing and am so blessed to have the opportunity of an arts education. After graduating from high school, I pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Film from Florida State College at Jacksonville as a Film major. Moving out to California and becoming a screenwriter is my dream career, yet I also love to tutor and help others. For almost two years I worked as a Reading/Writing Master Student, which has the same duties as a tutor, at my community college. The bonds that I have made with some of my former students is something that always means a lot to me, and I know that assisting others is something that I was put here to do.
I myself am a visual learner, and usually ask students what methods help them retain the information best before I tutor them in the subject. Before being hired for the Master Student position, I had to take a proficiency exam and keep my GPA above a 3.0. Using flash cards, white/black boards, and highlighting are some of the methods I have used to tutor students in their respective English or Reading classes.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

English

At my former job at FSCJ, I had to take a proficiency exam and make a 90 or above to start tutoring students. I assisted students in Reading, Writing and English until I graduated last May with a 3.2 GPA and an Associate of Arts degree in Film.

Reading

I tutored Reading and related subjects during my years at Florida State College at Jacksonville, which were from September 2012 to May 2014. I did this while maintaining a full time student course load for my Associate of Arts degree in Film.
In 2012, I graduated from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, an arts high school, with a Creative Writing major and high school diploma. Although Film is what I am studying, tutoring and helping others are some of my passions.

Writing

I studied Creative Writing in high school and have tutored students in Writing for the past three or four years.
