My name is Gary and I'm a Ph.D. student at the University of Central Florida studying Security Studies. In August 2014, I completed my Master of Arts Degree in Political Science with a concentration in international relations and global conflict. I completed my B.A. at Louisiana State University in Political Science. There, I concentrated in international studies, global diplomacy, and European comparative government. During my time at UCF I became very enthusiastic about working with students at the undergraduate level and even those studying for U.S. government at the high school level.
I have been trained to teach at the university level. I have been trained to identify and cater to learning styles for individual students. My hourly rate is negotiable. My weekends are totally open and my weekdays will require advanced notice. I look forward to working with anyone who is interested!!
All the best,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I successfully completed Advanced Placement credits in American History that allowed me to receive credit in American History at the college level from the Revolution to the present day. I specialize in the Cold War period and the history of American Diplomacy.
My expertise of European History comes from my in-depth instruction of a 20th Century European History course as part of my minor in international studies with my concentrations in European Comparative government.
Achieving an M.A. in Political Science requires as an advanced study of American Politics and Government that makes me qualified to teach others.
I completed my Master's Degree in Political Science at the University of Central Florida in August of 2014. I'm currently pursuing my PhD in Security Studies at the University of Central Florida. Additionally, I completed the "Preparing Tomorrow's Faculty" Program at UCF that includes discussion of teaching/learning methods.
I am also skilled in teaching social science research methods.
I have gained vast experience in studying the outbreak of wars across time. Global diplomatic history and the emergence of the modern state system has been part of my expertise in relation to world history.
Part of my graduate study has required advanced writing techniques. During my time as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I have been given greater experience in teaching college-level students to write.
