Math began to make sense to me very early in my life when I noticed that everything around me was related to the subject of Math. My passion for Math started before I entered Elementary School. When I began my first year of elementary school, I already knew the basic Math operations.
During my elementary and high school education, I was fortunate to have great teachers who inspired and nurtured my desires to explore mathematics. Then as I moved further into college, I developed a strong math foundation which allowed me to tap deeper into more complex ways to learn math.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with Concentration in Construction Management.
I view Math as a fun activity and enjoy making thinking concrete and visible.
During my high school education I successfully tutored Geometry, Pre-algebra, Pre-calculus and Trigonometry to my classmates then in college I tutored Calculus and Differential equations. As a recent experience: I tutored one of my co-workers, she was struggling in her Calculus class before contacting me.
She needed to pass this class in order to graduate. After I provided tutoring to her, she passed the class with B. My friend and her husband are very pleased with the results. I have also tutored high school students and have seen great results.
If you are interested in learning Spanish or Portuguese, I speak, read and write both languages fluently.
I specialize in tutoring Spanish, Portuguese, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Calculus, ESL/ESOL, Geometry, Pre-algebra, Pre-calculus, and Trigonometry. I hold myself to a high standard of integrity so for that reason I will ask you for feedback. My success as a tutor depends on your satisfaction. I also have a 24- hour cancellation policy.
I am sure that my background in Engineering and my tutoring experiences qualify me to tutor your student.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your studies. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
