About Naser

As an Engineer, I have experience in science and mathematics. I believe I can bring this knowledge and real world experience and related examples to math tutoring.

I have two bachelor degrees, one in Irrigation & Development Engineering and one in Civil Engineering. Thus, I have successfully completed many rigorous mathematics and science courses.

While working on these degrees, I tutored college students as well as high school students for Pre Algebra, Algebra 1/2, Trigonometry, and Geometry courses. I learned that I enjoyed teaching at risk students to gain a better appreciation for math. At the same time, I also learned from them!

By assessing what the strengths and weaknesses are in each student, I was able to help them overcome their hurdles and be proud of their achievements. My teaching philosophy is that we are all learning together.

After years of working in the Engineering field, I have now decided to turn towards Academia and become an instructor. I am currently working on my Master in Science in Mathematical Science program at the University of Central Florida. I believe further education will help me be an even better instructor for students.

I am a hardworking, dedicated, results-oriented professional with an easygoing personality. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your studies.

Sincerely,

Naser D

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I am an Algebra 1,2 tutor for all grades of high school students as well as Valencia college students for college algebra. All of my students passed the tests and the course successfully.

In each session, I usually explain formulas, equations, and concepts of the specific chapter for my student. Then I ask student to solve a few easy problems with my help. And finally, we solve complicated problems together and I help my student to be ready for the upcoming test or exam.
