Rollins College (Music)
I provide instruction, assistance, and tutoring to all levels of Electric Bass Guitar and Music Theory. I can also teach entry level Guitar as well.
I believe that that essence of music education should be fun, entertaining, and thought provoking, while at the same time providing a positive and charming atmosphere for the student to learn in, which invokes strong and efficient learning ability. Discussion and questions are always welcome, and I always work at the pace of the student,
It's my job as a teacher to have the tools to help enhance and nurture a student's musical ability in their chosen area of interest(s), not oppress a concrete template method for all students without accommodation to learning patterns or tendencies of the student.
My lessons are set up to accommodate a student's skill level and learning. I adjust my curriculum to support the student's interests and goals to help them grow and further their abilities in music practice, and theory, simultaneously.
I have been a professional bass player for 8 years, and have been playing for 16 years.
I started out self taught as a bassist and guitarist playing heavier styles of music such as heavy metal and alternative rock when I was young. I eventually grew to adapt to more increasingly informative, and positive styles of music such as Funk, Jazz, and Latin/World music in pursuit of absolute proficiency on the electric bass guitar, and in music in general.
Currently, I can read and write music fluently, and have played in many Jazz Ensembles, Combos, Rock/Metal Bands, Cover Bands, Jam Bands, and the like over the last ten years as a bassist and backup singer. I have also arranged music for Jazz Big Band, and composed music for Solo Piano, Trio, String Quartet, and Choir in Classical method. I provide instruction, assistance, and tutoring to all levels of Electric Bass Guitar and Music Theory. I can also teach entry level Guitar as well.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Rollins College from 2009-2013. I extensively studied Music Theory, History, and Composition practicum for both Classical and jazz repertoire.
I have written music for solo, and orchestral performance for the Rollins Jazz Ensemble and Orchestra.
Such works include a String Quartet, trio, solo piano, and chorus. Also, I have arranged jazz Standards for Jazz Big Bands for Rollins College.
My tutoring method is to provide a liberal learning pace, and help develop and reinforce a student's knowledge and skill in composing music.
I have been a performing musician on the Bass Guitar for over ten years, three of those years were entirely dedicated to the guitar.
I can tutor beginner guitar effectively by showing, discussing, and assimilating the learning of notes, chords, chord progressions, and popular songs as reference and support for said topics.
I can also teach the Bass Guitar--my main instrument, on any level. I provide a practice repertoire that accommodates the student's skill level which will help them develop and build their skill in that area that needs the most work.
My tutoring method for Bass is much the same as said method for guitar.
I have a Bachelor or Arts in Music from Rollins College. I studied composition and arranging
and currently freelance as a professional bass player and arranger for ensembles.
