About Keith

Hello! My name is Keith, and I have found a passion in helping students prepare for standardized tests. I enjoy explaining standardized tests and offering approaches that resonate with the student.

In my experience, I have found that students often set their own limitations about learning when approaching new material. The student will place a perimeter around what they are comfortable with. If material exceeds the bounds of his or her's comfort zone, students become reticent to "lean in." My style of tutoring focuses on removing a student's self-made limitations, and helping to unleash their full potential. If your child is struggling to understand a subject--or, in many cases, has formed a reluctance to dig in to the material--I am here to help.

In a recent timed SAT exam, I scored a 2240 (M 740, V 740, W 760). I am available for tutoring the SAT (Critical Reading, Math, and Writing sections); ACT (Reading, Writing, and Math sections); the LSAT; high school math subjects (including Algebra I & II; Geometry; Trig; Pre-Calculus; and Calculus); and all English and Grammar subjects.

I enjoy whitewater rafting, running, hiking, following Orlando Magic basketball, reading, and watching college football.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ACT Math

I have taught over 100 students in a Huntington ACT prep course to achieve higher test results.

Algebra 2

I have worked with over 100 students to prepare for their high school and college-level mathematics courses, including algebra 1 & 2, geometry, calculus, and trigonometry.

Bar Exam

I recently passed the Florida Bar Exam in February, 2013, by passing both the federal law section (the Multistate Bar Examination, consisting of 200 multiple choice questions) and the Florida state section (100 multiple choice questions + three essays).

Government & Politics

I studied political science and political theory for my undergraduate degree. I also received a Juris Doctorate from Florida State College of Law.

Logic

In my undergraduate course studies at the University of Central Florida, I enrolled in both Logic I and Logic II, where I received a grade of "A" in each course.

LSAT

I have tutored over 25 students for the LSAT. I graduated from Florida State College of Law in 2012. I passed the Florida Bar Exam in 2013.

Political Science

I majored in Political Science in undergrad at the University of Central Florida. Furthermore, I graduated from law school at Florida State University, which deepened and solidified my understanding of Political Science. I am an avid reader of both popular politics and political science scholarship.
