There are several children with ADD/ADHD in the daycare where I teach in the afternoon. I help them with focusing on activities by breaking down tasks for them, and by making activities enjoyable and manageable for them. I implement many hands-on activities to help them stay engaged.
I work in a part-time job in the afternoon in a daycare, and there are children with Autism. I help them with all their needs, including feeding and toileting. I also have a teenage niece who has Autism. I am very patient and compassionate.
I have worked with many children with Special Needs during my 15 years of teaching. Some of the children that I have helped needed assistance with toileting and feeding. Others have needed help with activities such as Art where they had difficulty with fine motor skills. I have also helped children who needed assistance with Math and Reading.
