“**Great tutor with a lot of knowledge and patience**”

Hello!

My name is Henry and I am a mathematician. Having grown up loving mathematics, I feel that it is my duty to pass on that love to others. I am currently an undergraduate mathematics student at Florida International University and plan on obtaining my B.S. with in the coming months. I have been tutoring for the mathematics

Henry is approved to conduct lessons through Wyzant Online. Wyzant Online allows students and tutors to work remotely via video, audio, and collaborative whiteboard tools. For more information about how online tutoring works, check out Wyzant Online.

Henry was the tutor for my high school son who is struggling with Algebra 2. Henry was very patient and was able to relate real life situations to the explanation of the material. My son had a much better understanding of the material and will continue to use Henry on a regular basis.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

As a mathematics major at Florida International University, one of the required courses in the curriculum is called "Algebraic Structures" which introduces students to foundations of algebra and some of its applications. I have taken this course and it's follow-up, "Topics in Algebraic Structures." I have also taken various other courses for which algebra is very important. More importantly, it is one of my favorite subjects to teach and I am good at it.

I have completed a college level linear algebra course with a B+. Also I have taken and passed differential geometry, which generalizes all of linear algebra in about three lectures, with a grade of "A". Further more, I am currently doing research in the area of linear algebra, specifically, Hadamard matrices.

Pre-algebra, as a subject in the university curriculum, exists to prepare students for college algebra. Though I have not taken the class myself, I have good understanding of mathematics as a whole and know exactly how pre-algebra fits into the scheme of things to come. This knowledge has allowed me to help countless many student pass this course. Many of whom have gone on to pass college algebra as well.
