I have taught English and Reading at the secondary level for 26 years. I have a master's degree in Reading from the University of South Florida. I specialize in children diagnosed with dyslexia. I have a diagnostic test that illustrates to the parent the problem areas. I also have a progress schedule which allows the parent to track the improvement in the child's ability. I have extensive experience in tutoring ESL/ESOL students. I have tutored students from Bangldesh, India, and Mexico.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
