I have a passion for teaching. Throughout my undergrad I tutored general math and physics and also taught calculus and classical physics at the university.
As a former student who struggled with math throughout high school and excelled at the college level I understand first hand the frustrations many learners face. This experience has enabled me to bring a unique skill set to tutoring/teaching.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, reading, anything outdoors, and playing guitar.
I tutored pre-algebra, algebra, trig, pre-calc, calculus and physics at Des Moines Area Community College. At Iowa State I was a supplemental instruction leader for calculus and physics.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
