Ohio Wesleyan University (Economics)
I have four years of teaching children swimming at the beginner and elite level. I love talking and making sure each person understands the first step of something before we move on. Establishing a good base is less future studying: most material you'll encounter will build upon itself
Getting a 6 out of 7 on the higher level exam in Psychology for the International Baccalaureate Diploma, spent two months studying more than 150 case studies and other material besides doing work for my psychology class.
Reader and writer of poetry, nonfiction, and playwriting. After high school, I collected a poetry book. At Ohio Wesleyan, I minored in English, compiling a portfolio. I've taken two intense writing workshops in college and one poetry workshop in Portugal. I can revise papers within minutes or suggest by which creative process one should take to write and edit.
Management Economics Major at Ohio Wesleyan University: conducted a sixty page independent study for my final project in the field of Game Theory/Behavioral Economics. Natural mathematical and logical mind.
Taught young swimmers with ADD/ADHD. Parents have come to me or warned me or were surprised how well I dealt with children with ADD/ADHD. I have never been diagnosed; I would not be surprised if I was diagnosed when I was a child that I would have had it. My mother never believed in diagnosing it because I did well in school anyway. I have friends that have a prescription for ADD/ADHD treatment drugs which I don't personally believe in due to the reliance of those drugs on your brain in the future. I try to understand and sympathize, however.
Varsity Collegiate Swimmer, four years. I've been swimming competitive for eighteen years. I could go on about my insight in the sport...that would require a book's worth of space.
I'm super relaxed and if we are not failing or correcting something then I feel like I'm not doing my part as an instructor. There will never be awkward air and I only wish to help with the self-esteem and confidence of those who want to learn. Thank you for the opportunity. It is those who are looking for opportunities who shall stumble upon them naturally. Keep striving I have four years of teaching children swimming at the beginner and elite level. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
