Hello everyone! I recently graduated with a Master of Science in mechanical engineering specializing in Dynamics and Controls from the University of Florida.

Currently, I'm working at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab as a Navigation, Guidance & Controls Analyst.

I've been tutoring physics, mathematics, and engineering subjects for over 6 years now, privately, in groups, and through University appointments.

I was also an undergraduate/graduate lab teaching assistant for one of my senior engineering labs (Dynamics & Controls) and was awarded the Knox T. Millsaps Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Award during my first term! That just shows how much dedication and care I put in to helping others understand difficult material.

During my engineering career, academic career, and self studies, I've seen and enjoyed a wide scope of engineering/physics/math subjects, but the areas listed below highlight my strengths and passions. If you need help in any of these classes, let me know! I also passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE Mech) exam and I can offer assistance for this exam.

Mechanical Engineering Courses:
Statics
Dynamics (Newton & Euler Mechanics)
Analytical Dynamics (Lagrangian & Hamiltonian Mechanics)
Vibrations
Classical Control
Linear System Theory (State variable methods)

Software:
MATLAB
LabVIEW
Solidworks

Natural Sciences:
Physics I (Classical Mechanics) -University level, Highschool Honors, Highschool AP Physics: C.
Physics II (Electricity & Magnetism) - University level, Highschool Honors, Highschool AP Physics: C

Mathematics:
Single Variable Calculus, Multivariable Calculus
Elementary/Intermediate Differential Equations
Numerical Methods
Vector Calculus

With education going online nationwide, I understand the difficulty of learning in these unprecedented times. With my help, we can get through this!

I was also an Undergraduate TA (now a Grad TA) for one of my senior engineering labs, Dynamics & Controls and was awarded the Knox T. Millsaps Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Award during my first term. The course is heavy on MATLAB implementation. Assisted students with applying control system theory and engineering laboratory fundamentals to model and characterize dynamic systems and synthesize single input/single-output control systems using classical control methods via LabVIEW. ▪ Projects and theory assisted in: Furuta Pendulum, DC Motor-Flywheel control, Vision Tracking, PID Tuning, LabVIEW Programming, Sine Sweep, Bode Plots, Transfer Functions, Root Locus, Closed Loop Feedback Control I've also used MATLAB as a Research Assistant at the UF Laser Based Diagnostics Lab. Was responsible for Utilizing laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) to dissociate single aerosol particles in a laser-induced plasma to investigate the resulting plasma emission to quantify the mass and composition of aerosols. ▪ Responsible for design and manufacturing of aerosol chambers for plasma matter analysis, utilizing SolidWorks Flow, MATLAB, Ansys Fluent, and Abaqus for cross verification of solutions and for CFD/Multiphysics simulations. Member of the MATLAB community.

I've tutored Physics I, Physics II, calculus based and non calculus based for 6 years now! Privately, and through University appointments, I make it my goal for you understand the physics, not simply applying equations. I was the lead physics tutor at the University of Florida Teaching Center and as well for Miami Dade College Stem Lab. Through my passion for the subject and helping others, I affirm you will understand and build the confidence to apply physics on your own!

Very knowledgeable and Beyond Expectations (BEST PHYSICS TUTOR)

At the beginning of the summer of 2022, I had a hard time finding a tutor for my physics 1 course. A lot of the tutors I came across were very slow-paced and felt like they were prolonging the time to make a quick buck. It was a blessing to have come across Marco's profile. Marco does not waste any time and gets straight to physics. He is very knowledgeable on the subject and ensures his students understand everything that is being discussed. Marco goes above and beyond for his students. For example, I was having a difficult time with torque equations and Marco made a 40 min video (Not during paid time) to explain the concept to me. He is one of the best physics tutors on Wyzant and really cares for his students' success!

Awesome

Very understanding and great teacher who knew what he was talking about which was great since the topic was not something generally tutoring friendly. I appreciated his patience and knowledge

Best tutor!

Marco is the only person who explains physics to me in a way I can understand. He is really knowledgable and finds different ways of explaining problems to me when I can't seem to understand them in the ways my teachers suggest. Highly recommend tutoring sessions with Marco!

Physics tutor

Marco did a great job explaining concepts to my teenager. He then had her do the problem and didn’t just do her homework. He actually taught her. Highly recommend!!

wonderful tutor

Marco is an extremely competent and knowledgeable physics tutor. He is able to explain my complex college level course work to me with ease and can probably answer any physics problem you give him! He also has a kind and patient demeanor that makes the sessions fun and easygoing. I would highly recommend him to anyone struggling with their physics course work!

High explanation skills, makes concepts seem easy.

Marco is very knowledgeable with Dynamic Systems and Controls. We went over a pendulum problem that I was having troubles with. The lesson was interactive and every step was explained thoroughly. During the middle of the lesson, I had an ah-ha moment in the middle of the lesson, which is a testament to his expertise with the material. I highly recommend Marco and I will certainly reach out if I need help again.
