My mission is to build relationships with all students that last a lifetime. With these relationships come positive outcomes personally and academically. Shoot for the moon because even if you miss you'll be among the stars. Everything in life is a lesson. Pay attention and learn from it.
I taught elementary school for 5 years before moving to secondary education but I currently have an elementary aged child whom I help with homework nightly.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a mother of a child with ADHD. I have also been teaching in an alternative school with the majority of the students diagnosed with ADHD. I am used to developing plans for students with ADHD. I use music and art therapy with my lessons to help with those ADHD students.
I am Certified in K-12 and have experience in all levels of Math. I am also a former Math teacher. I have lots of manipualtives to reinforce math skills.
I have tutored neighborhood kids for years. I have also homeschooled my son for a semester.
I have been teaching for almost 20 years, during which I taught phonics. I have worked in daycare, tutoring after school and raising my children.
As a teacher, I created a program at my old school that focused on study skills to prepare my high school students for post graduate course work.
