Hello, My name is Homayon. To make it easy you can call me Homey or Homes. I am from Iran.I came to the U.S as a student in 1986. I got BS in Electrical Engineering from WMU in 1990 and MS in the same major from MSU in 1993. AS I was strong in Math, during the time that I was a student my teachers suggested me to help other students in math. So I got hired as a tutor for students who had difficulty with Math. Since then I got really interested in teaching.
In 1993 for some family reasons I had to go back to my country. I followed my career as a teacher in one of the universities of Iran. I was a teacher there for about twenty years. I got married and have two sons. They are 13 and 15 years old. Not only did I work as a teacher outside home but also I was and still am a teacher of my sons at home. I taught them Math and English. They also became strong in Math.
I came back to the U.S in Feb 2013. Even though my sons never took any English classes outside home, they were able to communicate well. That was because I had worked with them for several years.
What satisfies me when I teach, more than the income I earn is my ability to make people learn what I have learned. My students have always evaluated me as a teacher who makes complicated problems easy to understand.
