The ability to consume and harbor knowledge from a variety of subjects is a trait that I've valued since I was a kid, which carried over to my undergraduate studies at the University of Florida where I completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science, with a minor in History.

Throughout college, I was torn between the polar opposites of being a lawyer or a doctor, and although I am currently preparing for the LSAT, I retained a passion for science and mathematics after years of pre-medical coursework and MCAT studying. I graduated in the top 10% of the top ranked high school in Miami-Dade County (School for Advanced Studies), receiving 5's in Advanced Placement exams such as Calculus AB, English Language and Composition, Human Geography, and US History. In college I've achieved A's in classes such as General Chemistry I & II, Organic Chemistry I & II, Pre-Calculus Algebra, Calculus II, and Physiology/Molecular Biology of Animals.

This will allow me to be a jack-of-all-trades during our tutoring sessions, being able to tutor on a range of topics from the Krebs Cycle in Biochemistry to the differences between liberalism and conservatism in Political Theory. I also have recent experience tutoring middle school and high school students in courses such as Algebra I/II, Physical Science, and Chemistry, as well as personal experience helping classmates in a variety of college courses.

To both learn and teach, I've always firmly believed that an understanding of a topic's fundamentals is crucial to mastery. Just as you can't drive a car without learning how to brake first, a solid foundation of derivatives is the key to understanding integrals. After judging how firm a grasp you have on the basics, we can either employ strategy of breaking topics down to their fundamentals and grow from there, address questions in which we can modify and correct the problem-solving process, or use a student-specific approach to help you grasp the content easier.

We all love that "A-HA" moment of understanding after staring at a practice problem for hours, and I'd be honored for the opportunity to be the one to help you get there!

**Notes: I am certified in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of another Language), and have completed courses on First Aid and CPR**
