I am currently a part time Preschool teacher, teaching 3 and 4 year old children. I have worked at a Public school working with the grades, K-5 as a after school counselor and a tutor for 2 years. I am very well experienced with working with children. My key to helping children succeed is having patients and earning the child's trust. It is my job and my pleasure to be their for the children I work with, mentally and physically and to show them the way to learn and to succeed.
What I love about tutoring is the way I see the child is improving throughout the time that I am working with them. Tutoring is a big part of me because I love to help people get to where they need to be, and especially because its children, it makes the situation even better for me, because I truly love kids and I will do anything to help a child succeed and expand in the area that they are having trouble in. Tutoring really helps children to learn and understand what they aren't learning in school, and it sometimes makes the child more comfortable having a one on one learning session with a teacher or with a tutor.
My patients, my goals and my strong mindset is what makes me a a great math tutor.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
