University of Miami (Biomedical engineering)
I am a junior studying biomedical engineering at the University of Miami. I have been tutoring for five years. I started in high school I have tutored my peers and have continued to do so in college. I am very passionate about helping others achieve their goals and improving their skills. When working with students I am patient, understanding, and have the drive to motivate students to achieve whatever they need.
I specialize in tutoring mathematics up to Calculus 3 and differential equations. I have earned an "A" in all math classes I have taken and have also achieved a "5" in the AP Calculus AB and BC exams so I believe I am qualified to teach those subjects. I have received high marks on every math class I have ever taken and am near completion of my minor in mathematics. I have competed in tournaments showcasing my aptitude with math and am well versed in proofs. My goal for each session is to keep the student stimulated and challenged, but not overwhelmed. I assign interesting homework after every lesson, provide periodic assessments, and offer progress reports.
I am flexible with time and have a 24-hour cancellation policy. I am happy to travel to any location convenient for the student. In addition, I hold myself to a high standard so I always ask for feedback, and I will not bill for my work if a student or parent is not satisfied with my tutoring. I look forward to working with you and to helping you succeed in your goals. I am a junior studying biomedical engineering at the University of Miami. I have been tutoring for five years. We reviewed limits, continuity and derivatives. I understood everything he explained and he didn't need to check the back of the book for answers. He's the best tutor ever!
Percy was a great tutor for my daughter. He instantly knew the math problems and was able to explain in a simple way and to the point. He was able to review quite a few problems which gave my daughter a lot of practice.
If you need help in math, do yourself a favor and please stop looking. I would have failed my calc 1 exam if it wasnt for Percy! Other tutors take forever and burn time trying to remember how to solve a problem, but not him! He knows the information in and instant, AND is very patient. Thank you man!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have received an "A" in Algebra 1 when I took the course. In addition, I have nearly completed my math minor and have taken up to Calculus 3 and Ordinary Differential Equations.
I have received an "A" in Algebra 2 when I took the course in high school and have tutored in the subject before. In addition, I have nearly completed my math minor and have taken up to Calculus 3 and Ordinary Differential Equations.
I have been tutoring calculus for three years and have taken and received an A in Calculus 1, 2, and 3. I have a math minor and will be pursing a masters degree in math after I finish a bachelors in biomedical engineering.
I have taken the AP Chemistry exam and have received a "4" and have taken up to Chemistry 2 while attending the University of Miami and have received an "A," In addition, my major (biomedical engineering), has given me exposure to applications of chemistry.
I have completed ordinary differential equations and have taken a mathematics applications course for my biomedical engineering major that utilized differential equations. I am well versed in first order, second order, and nth order differential equations; I am well versed in utilizing Laplace transformations, and can solve equations using power series. I can also explain applications of differential equations like circuitry and optics.
I have received an "A" in pre-calculus and trigonometry when I took the course in high school and when I took a dual enrollment course for it at Miami-Dade College. In addition, I have nearly completed my math minor and have taken up to Calculus 3 and Ordinary Differential Equations.
