In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I had to master fundamental maths. So yes, it will be fun preparing students for the ACT Math.

I'm currently taking pre-calculus and trig in college, so Algebra 1 was a very old prerequisite for me. I've tutored a couple of people off the books in Algebra, teaching them basic things such as factoring. I study maths everyday so I can be sharp enough to teach people what I know.

I passed Differential Calculus and currently studying for Integral Calculus. With that being said, I had to master both Algebra 1 and 2 before I could take higher level maths. So yes, It will be fun teaching Algebra 2 to someone with little to no knowledge of the subject.

Astronomy is one of my favorite subjects due to it getting me interested in academia in the first place. Throughout childhood, I've consistently scored excellently on any science based subject. I'm a current STEM ambassador majoring in Physics, and have taken and aced Astronomy in college.

I've been doing elementary maths all my life. It has pretty much become more like auto-pilot when I integrate this into higher levels of maths such as Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Cal . I am very comfortable tutoring this level of maths because I practice on my siblings all the time.

I am very confident in my ability to tutor this level of science due to constant practice on my siblings. I have the experience to tutor kids because as a STEM ambassador, I'm required to do it all the time. Elementary science is one of the subjects in which a lot of questions get asked, and I would love to apply feedback to anyone who needs help in this subject.

I'm in university majoring in Computer Science and double minoring in both Physics and Mathematics. I have an affinity for the Physical Sciences and Mathematics. I think I'll be able to teach these subjects to someone who doesn't have the fundamentals of these subjects.
