In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taught this subject many times to groups of student who are facing a test with excellent results.
I have a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, I have worked in industries where we applied Statistics in real life situations like quality control. I have tutor students before with great results. I also consult in surveys, and data processing.
I took the TOEFL when I was a in my 20's before applying for admission in an American university. Since then I've live in the US for more than 20 years, working mostly as an engineer for the California Department of Transportation. I am retired now, and one of the things I enjoy is tutoring and consulting. I hope to help people that way and, at the same time, get personal satisfaction and keep myself busy.
