My name is Bianca and I have taught ESL for five years. I'm also a Spanish language teacher. I attended Florida International University and graduated cum laude with a double major in Spanish and Mass Communication. After graduating from university in 2008, I relocated to Madrid, Spain and became TEFL certified so I can teach ESL internationally. I taught Business English in Madrid to executives at international corporations such as Ford, ThyssenKrupp and Banco Santander among others. I also taught English at a number of summer camps to a variety of ages, small children to teenagers.
I have taught students from beginners to proficient speakers and I cater my classes to student needs. Beginners need more basic and technical lessons, whereas proficient learners prefer class discussions and debates. While in Spain, I completed a masters in Teaching English as a Second Language at Universidad de Alcala de Henares in conjunction with the British Council.
I have extensive experience teaching English online as well. For five years, I taught online for a language school based in Taiwan. I taught Mandarin speakers in both Taiwan and Mainland China anything from beginner to advanced English in all different subject matters. I also lived in Sao Paulo, Brazil for six months and tutored an engineering executive in preparation for his transfer to a foreign country. My name is Bianca and I have taught ESL for five years. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
