Each student must compose his or her own essay. I proofread and enhance a student's prose, making the essay ready for a student to include with his or her university applications. A student and I communicate via email, sending the raw and polished versions of an essay as email attachments. I keep careful track of my time spent working to ensure a student's fee is exactly what it should be. My time spent editing each one, double-spaced page of an essay varies among students, and it is between one and two hours. If I need less than an hour, I will charge appropriately, and if I need more than two hours, I will email the student to ask his or her permission.
Experience has made me a skilled proofreader. I am the author of the published novel, The Sands of Erebus, which I spent four months editing and proofreading after completing a first draft. I have also written articles and essays that have been published in Tallahassee’s FSView student newspaper and Aikido Journal.
I graduated from the outstanding Gulliver Academy, attending from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Then I attended Gulliver Preparatory School through 12th grade and graduated. There I excelled in honors and advanced placement courses, which instilled in me a solid knowledge of math and various sciences. During the summer after my junior year, I was selected to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy Summer Science Seminar, and there I became exposed to cutting edge technologies while enhancing my scientific knowledge.
On the SAT, I scored a 710 in math and a 650 in verbal. Having also scored well on the ACT, I am qualified to prepare students for these exams as well as the similar GRE. I applied to the U.S. Air Force Academy and received an appointment, but I chose instead to attend The Florida State University Honors Program and College of Business. There I succeeded in both pure business requirements and statistics. One-on-one tutoring is proving a fitting career for me because of my enjoyment of teaching and meeting people.

Drew is the best tutor I've ever seen! He is professional, patient, and also has a great sense of humor. He can always correctly point out where my essay should be modified and give excellent feedback which helps me improve my essay as quickly as possible.
Definitely recommend Drew for everyone who needs help of writing!
My daughter needed to improve her math SAT scores and Drew got her to understand the material and taught her simple math formulas to help her get to that next level she needed to be. With his help she got the scores she needed. Thanks again Drew!
Funny guy and good tutor so far. Drew went through all the questions with my daughter and didn't leave any grey zone.
I'm still looking for a good Stats tutor. A good stats tutor comes prepared with the work you send days earlier reviewed and understood; this did not happen. After two hours only 3 questions were attempted, 2 of which I found out later were incorrect.
Jason was a pleasant student. He was at the end of his semester for Statistics I, and his first questions for me were about the symbol for mean and the definition of median. This is taught at the earliest stages of the course, and there is much in-between. I am unable to teach a four-month course in two hours.
All things considered, we might not have completed his end-of-course assignment, but we both considered even finishing one complex problem a success at the time. He rated the lesson 5-stars initially. He realized that we accomplished a great deal, but the next day he sent me a text, telling me to correct his homework on my own time, scan it, and email it to him without payment. When I told him I would need to charge a half-hour for this, he sent me a text that he would be complaining to WyzAnt.
Drew has been working with my son for about a month now and I'm starting to notice improvement in both his grades and study habits. Drew has been great with my son, exhibiting both patience and dedication.
For tutoring my GRE, he's indispensable.
Drew is friendly, and knows his statistics craft. I will try an additional session with him! He is willing to teach so the student feels that he is learning and has a grasp on the material.
I found Drew to be a great tutor, very patient. I needed help for my Statistics test, and he was very helpful. Highly recommend.
I needed a tutor so I could improve my SAT score just enough to get accepted into a college. When I meet new tutors I usually feel nervous because I don't know if they're strict, lazy or just doesn't know the material they're supposed to be helping me with. But with Drew I feel relaxed. We have a few laughs here and there, but he gets the job done. I've felt my vocabulary has expanded a little, my mathematics has improved and the understanding of grammar has gotten better. Overall Drew is a phenomenal tutor! I would recommend him to anybody who is in need of help with math, grammar, and SAT studies.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
