I’m Megan! I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, and a minor in Education. I also graduated Salutatorian from Full Sail University obtaining my Master’s Degree in Educational Media Design & Technology. I love mathematics and I love teaching!

After getting my Master’s Degree my eyes opened up to the many different methods and platforms that can be used to make teaching and learning so much easier and fun. For example, while I was working on my Master’s Degree, I created a cooperative learning (Teams) Video Game that incorporated all of the learning standards for the 9 weeks and we played this game which I named “StarQuest” everyday for the next grading period. I had more fun teaching this way and my students’ scores went through the roof. I had the biggest learning gains that I had ever seen before and had administration asking me about this game that all the kids wouldn’t stop talking about at lunch or in the halls. That’s probably the first time administration heard student’s talking positively about math outside the classroom. I make sure to incorporate these different learning strategies into my tutoring sessions whenever possible to keep learning fun and easy.

I have over 10 years of tutoring experience in almost every math and science class. I have also taught in the classroom for a decade as well and have taught everything from 7th grade math to Calculus 2 and everything in between.

I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible. I do this by teaching math the way that makes sense to you. There are at least 4 different ways to teach any math concept and I will find the way that makes sense to you and we will stick with that so you can feel confident and successful in your math endeavors.
