Hello. Welcome to my page. My name is David L. I have a real love for the sciences and teaching and I would like to help you achieve academic success.

A little about myself. I attended the University of South Florida where I majored in African Studies and Biomedical Science. I went on to get my master's degree in Biomedical Science at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where I received the Faculty Award in Biomedical Science for my Academic Achievement.

I have experience teaching the biological sciences and I can use my knowledge and resource base to help you with your courses. I currently teach Anatomy and Physiology and Microbiology at Hillsborough Community College. I have also taught at the University of Tampa and University of South Florida. I am also certified by the Florida Department of Education to teach Biology in Grades 6-12.

I really enjoy teaching the sciences and while some subjects may seem difficult I believe that all subjects in the sciences can be easily understood if taught in a relatable interesting and accessible manner. I like to engage students so that they retain information not only for their exams but for life. My personality is pretty laid back and I try so add in some humor to learning.

Success in the sciences can open a lot of doors intellectually and professionally and I like helping students achieve their goals.
