I am a Research Psychologist. I received my PhD at the University of Central Florida in Applied Experimental and Human Factors Psychology. At my current job, I research how to leverage technology and cognitive psychology principles in order to develop effective training systems. As part of my job, I am required to be proficient at all types of statistics including Regression, ANOVA, t-tests, linear mixed effects modeling, and non-parametrics. I am highly skilled at using SPSS and Excel, however I am also somewhat familiar with other software including R and Mathlab. As a researcher, I am also proficient at research methods including study design and article writing.
While I was a graduate student at UCF, I taught several classes including Research Methods, Statistics, Physiological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Psychology of Learning. I am proud to say that I consistently received reviews that were well above the University average.
I use Excel as my primary method to organize data. I have been using excel regularly for 10 years now. I understand all aspects of Excel including using VBA to automate tasks within the program.

We went over the statistical test of my dissertation (MANCOVA). He came prepared and provided me with some useful insights on how I should approach the test. Very approachable and helpful. Thanks, Matthew.
Matthew helped organize all the data to run analyses in SPSS and explained how to interpret the outcome for ANOVA and Chi-Square tests. looking forward to more sessions.
I use Microsoft Excel daily as part of my job and have been using it consistently for the past 10 years. I know all aspects of Excel including programming automated tasks using VBA.
I have a BA in Psychology from UCF. I also have a PhD in Human Factors Psychology from UCF.
I have taught several undergraduate Psychology classes including physiological, psych of learning, cognitive, and research methods.
I have taken no less that 6 graduate courses in statistics that required using SPSS. I use SPSS today as my primary statistics tool. I have taught several courses on SPSS.
Like I mentioned for SPSS, I have taken well over 6 courses in graduate level statistics, not including my undergraduate coursework. I have also taught several classes on statistics, including an intro stat methods class, research methods, and advanced research methods.
