About Craig

I completed by undergraduate degree in Physics at Duke University and then completed a master's degree in Physics at the University of Texas at Austin. I worked as a Teaching Assistant in Physics and Engineering at both these institutions where I received extremely good instructor reviews. I have experiencing tutoring a variety of subjects since I was in the eighth grade. I currently teach Physics and Astronomy at Valencia State College. Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Calculus

I took calculus 1, 2, and 3 in high school and college and passed all classes with an A. I was an undergraduate physics major, which required extensive usage of calculus in all my physics classes. I later went to physics graduate school, where I continued to work with calculus on a day-to-day basis.

Physics

I am qualified to tutor in physics due to my extensive background in the topic. I have a BS in physics from Duke University and a Master's degree in physics from the University of Texas at Austin, where I did research on phenomenology relating to the detection of dark matter. I have extensive experience working as a Teaching Assistant in physics courses taught at both Duke University and the University of Texas. In addition I am currently employed as an Adjunct Professor of Physics at Valencia State College.

Precalculus

I took Precalculus in high school and aced it. Afterwards, I took numerous advanced math courses that built upon my Precalculus foundation in college. I majored in Physics in college and later went to Physics graduate school. In all my Physics and Math courses Precalculus was used extensively. In addition I currently teach a Physics class at Valencia College that involves heavy use of Precalculus.
