My most recent Master's degree qualified me as an ESL teacher in Spain, after having already taught Elementary native Spanish speakers in the Immersion program in California for two years.
I started teaching Music at a middle/high school level at the age of 26. A few years later, I discovered my passion for Elementary teaching while living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area, at a time when Spanish was not still considered the valuable language that is nowadays considered in the USA. Bilingualism in this country has so much potential! I am determined to be part of the change by offering Florida residents a better life through a wider range of job opportunities.
I am a native Spanish speaker, having lived in Spain for 37 years, with a Spanish Master's degree in Philosophy and Arts and always known as an outstanding Grammar student.
Handwriting is a skill I diligently teach my current students in the most creative and enjoyable way, for them to suceed in effectively communicating their ideas and enjoy the process of writing.
During my ESL degree I took specific Phonics instruction, as a way to highly qualify my students to effectively communicate in their second language.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a Master Degree in Elementary Education, which qualifies me for teaching any subject from kindergarten through 6th grade. I have worked with Elementary students for four years now. I believe one-to-one lessons are the most effective method to help K-6 students who struggle in any subject at school improve their confidence and performance.
I have taught handwriting to Kindergarten and Elementary students for about four years.
I learnt how to write both in print and cursive when I was a child, being able to easily switch from one to the other.
Having a Master in Arts has given me the opportunity to learn about Paleography, awakened interest in several writing styles, and allowed me to enjoy tracing letters as an artistic process of drawing.
A neat handwriting is not just easy, but also pleasant to read, making it the best letter of introduction when communicating via paper.
Learning how to teach Phonics to an ESL student was part of my Elementary Education Master's Degree.
I really enjoy teaching Phonics, as it is related to Music, my big passion.
Having a good ear has helped me to master English Phonics as much as English Grammar.
English Phonics is a subject in which most of Spanish speakers are weak. Being a native Spanish speaker myself, makes easy to identify, understand and address students' specific needs.
