WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?
I help people learn how to listen to and communicate with the world around them. Usually, that means tutoring writing or reading, along with teaching every day in a classroom. Whether you're looking for help with a writing assignment, homework, or simply better grades, I can help you achieve your learning goals.

HOW DO I WORK?
I always start with listening. Something as simple as "what's your assignment?" goes a long way, but it doesn't end there. Asking you what you're hoping to achieve with a particular piece of writing, for example, and then *listening* tells me a lot about how to proceed and how I can help you.
For longer-term relationships, I also like to get in touch with my students' teachers to get additional perspective on what they see that could use some work. We're all a team after all, working to help you learn!
WHAT'S MY EXPERIENCE?
I've been tutoring and teaching in some aspect for a decade now, and I work as a full-time certified English teacher, so I'm "in the trenches" of the classroom and familiar with the skills and standards that students are being asked to achieve in today's world.
As for my own education (for those who do their due diligence), I graduated from a local private school/home school program with a 4.53 GPA. I was a National Merit Scholar Finalist and scored a 2250 on the SAT. In college, I took nearly 150 credit hours in a variety of disciplines, but focused mainly on philosophy and English. I graduated summa cum laude in December of 2013 from Thomas Edison State University with a degree in English and a cumulative 3.94 GPA. Nowadays, I'm currently working on earning my Master's degree in Language and Literature with a concentration in Imaginative Literature from Signum University. While I am a teacher, I'm a student, too, and can still identify with many of the struggles of student life.
WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO WORK WITH ME?
I take a long view of tutoring and teaching. I naturally welcome long-term tutoring relationships with students, but always
