University of Central Florida (Film B.F.A.)
I'm a recent graduate of the University of Central Florida, with a B.F.A. in Film. While my true passion for over a decade has been screenwriting, over the last four years I've written, produced, directed, and edited several short films, as well as a micro-budget feature that will be released in 2017. Through my coursework and practical application on sets, I'm experienced in most facets of film and video production; including screenwriting, directing, producing, assistant directing, editing, sound editing, location sound, ADR, grip and electric, and cinematography. I have experience working with a variety of film and digital capture formats, from DSLR to 35mm, as well as creating cameraless films (that's a film with NO CAMERA, which will certainly make for an interesting lesson!)
I plan to return to school in 2017 to complete my Film M.F.A. as a step toward becoming a university professor, which makes me the ideal candidate for anyone seeking a tutor in the cinematic arts. I have a true passion for film education, both theoretical and production, and personally know the value that a dedicated educator can have.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As a consistent Dean's List student of the University of Central Florida's Film B.F.A., I received a well-rounded education in all aspects of the cinematic arts, including film. I've shot on super8; shot and developed 16mm with a Bolex and a DIY home processing tank; and worked on productions with Panavison's Gold 35mm. I also have experience shooting and developing 35mm stills. During my final year of film school I created an experimental film on 16mm, shot with a Bolex, and hand edited using a flatbed editing table. Outside of the actual medium of film, I have countless hours of experience on digital cinema productions, in a variety of positions.
I have been trained on camera, editing, lighting, and sound systems; as well as writing, directing, and producing; by a faculty of industry professionals that include Academy members and award winners. I have extensive experience with DSLR's, mirrorless cameras, Blackmagic cameras, Sound Devices' 702 unit, the Zoom line of field recorders, lav and boom mics, LED lights, grip and electric equipment, HMI, open face and fresnel lighting, Final Cut Studio, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition. With my short film "I Play To Be With Friends", which has been continuously screened by UCF at various events, I utilized all of my skills and experience to complete a short digital video without any crew.
