Southeastern University (Secondary Math Ed)
I am an Advanced Certified CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) tutor. I work for the Academic Center for Enrichment at Southeastern University as a tutoring facilitator. I have been tutoring students in both individual and group settings since September 2015, and have accumulated over 70 hours of tutoring experience. I am a senior Secondary Mathematics Education major at Southeastern, and will start my student teaching internship in the fall. I am proficient in tutoring subjects in elementary school through college. I have a wide range of experience with students of all ages from experience in tutoring, working at day camps, life-guarding, and counseling at summer camps.
My method of tutoring ranges from student to student depending on their learning abilities and prior knowledge. Through tutoring on a personal level, students can not only learn, but also build a sense of community and support, while academically achieving anything that they put their mind to.
My primary subject of tutoring experience is in tutoring undergraduate students in various mathematics courses, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and also FTCE certification exam preparation. I previously have led weekly workshops at Southeastern University on the General Knowledge Mathematics portion of the FTCE exam.
I have played piano for 14 years, including over five years of classical training. I have performed and received superior scores in state musical festivals and have placed in state competitions. I am proficient both in reading music and playing by ear. I have a great deal of experience playing in performance settings.
If you have any questions or would like some extra clarification, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to us working together to achieve your goals!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have played piano for fourteen years, including at least 5 years of classical training. I have participated and earned superior evaluations in the "Musically Advanced II" section of festivals, and have placed in state competitions while in high school. Previously, I have taken college courses such as concert choir, bell choir, voice lessons, music theory, and aural theory. I have also tutored music theory, aural theory, and facilitated voice lessons at the Academic Center for Enrichment at Southeastern University.
