I am from Venezuela originally and moved to the United States with my family when I was five years old. I attended an arts high school for piano and now I am at the University of South Florida studying to become a chemical engineer!

I have tutored since I was a Junior in high school. I started by tutoring algebra I, algebra II, and

He is teaching Algebra 2. Very patient. Makes sure you understand procedures. My test scores have went up signiflcantly. He is a great tutor!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I studied and tutored algebra II during high school. I use the information I learned in this class almost every day for my more advanced mathematics classes. My having a good foundation in this subject has been crucial to my success in engineering courses.

I taught myself calculus and have studied it at the college level. If studied correctly, calculus can be very intuitive. I have tutor calculus at USF and I have tutored high school calculus in the past.

Precalculus is an important foundation for calculus courses, so intuition is key. I have found that many students struggle with logarithms, exponents, and unit circle memorization. These are simple, and if done correctly, actually require close to no memorization.

The questions on the SAT math section are fairly simple. Some of them can be tricky, but with a good foundation, all SAT math is easy math. The trick to most SAT math questions is to not overthink. Once they are broken down into simple parts, the whole becomes easily manageable.

The tools I have for this course will allow you to not only know the material and formulas, but also to understand where these formulas come from. I personally struggled with this formula-based course at first. After seeing all of the geometric derivations, memorizing the formulas isn't necessary, and the course is a breeze.
