Lillian is kind and patient and flexible. She’s provided hours of very helpful tutoring for my grandson, a junior in a high school International Baccalaureate program. He highly recommends her! He plans to work with her again next year.

Patient and Relaxed

We’ve had some tutors that put a lot of pressure on our student to progress and remember what was taught from week to week. Our student is pretty erratic- some weeks she’s on top of it and some weeks she doesn’t ’know’ anything. But pressure and frustration from the tutor doesn’t help anything! Lillian is fantastic at meeting the student where she is at that lesson, and getting through the material from wherever that is. A hallmark of a great teacher!

Amazing Tutor!

When school was out we switched over from math class help to SAT study. Lillian knows all the strategies to help eliminate answers and make really good guesses for the times you don’t know how to solve the problem. She also teaches how to eliminate answers that don’t make sense so you can work faster. Back to math class, our student has aced math topics in previous years thanks to Lillian and other tutors, but refuses to go back and look at the old notes. I don’t want to pay for Lillian to teach the same things again and again. If my student was truly struggling I would, but my student would rather ask Lillian three times than review her own notes where she previously got As and Bs. So we’re taking a break for a student growth opportunity, but we might be back! Lillian is amazing!

Great First Session

My daughter needed help with IB math and Lillian on the first lesson was able to give her real constructive instruction. At the end of the session; my daughter felt more confident and immediately said she wanted additional sessions with Lillian. As a parent; I appreciated how responsive she was to my concerns and she always replied to my messages promptly. This is our first experience with Wyzant and Lillian made it a great experience.

Impressed with Lillian's knowledge and thoughtful/humorous approach to Calculus

Our teenager has been working with the same math tutor for 5 years, from Algebra through Pre-Calc. However, we needed to find a new tutor when Calculus started. And someone familiar with IB curriculum. Lillian was such a find! She is highly knowledgeable of Calculus, enough to make it fun! And is familiar with the rigor of IB requirements. We are thankful and impressed!
