Hey there! I'm Rachel and I am a certified teacher in the state of Florida. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and a Certificate in Music Performance. While at UF, I also completed the University Honors Program and gained teaching experience through a middle and high school internship. Currently, I am a full-time high school music teacher.

Music is my greatest love and I have been playing flute for over 12 years. I have taught flute students at the middle and high school levels, both privately and in school group settings. I also have plenty of piano experience, including teaching high school class piano. Whether you're a total beginner or have some experience, I'm excited to meet you at your current level to develop a love of music together!

Although my daily career is in music, I have always also enjoyed math and teaching it to others. I have tutored multiple private math students who all reported a higher class grade by the end of the semester. More importantly, they all felt more confident in their math skills by the end of our time together. In addition to my private students, I spent some time tutoring math in a local classroom while I was in college.

As you can see, I have two very different specialties: music and math. What lies at the core is that I enjoy helping students achieve their goals, whether that be higher algebra test scores or mastering a piece of music. Please contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson!
