Financial Accounting may be boring, difficult, challenging... you name it. In my opinion, Financial Accounting is a subject that can be taught in an easy-to-understand way that most college professors have not yet figured out. I'm here to help you to not only get a passing grade, but also to help you understand Financial Accounting and its important role in the business world.
While pursuing my bachelor’s degree, I worked for the University of Central Florida as an accounting tutor. In terms of work experience, I have worked for two of the Big 4 accounting firms as an auditor ,and I'm a CPA licensed in the State of Colorado; however, I live in Orlando, FL and work as a financial analyst for an engineering firm. I'm bilingual, English and Spanish, and feel comfortable teaching the subject matter in any of the two languages.
My areas of expertise include Financial Accounting, certain Finance topics and Microsoft Excel. Financial Accounting may be boring, difficult, challenging... you name it. In my opinion, Financial Accounting is a subject that can be taught in an easy-to-understand way that most college professors
Rafael knows his field inside and out. Accounting can be a tough subject to understand because of the many different concepts and theories, however, Rafael knows exactly how to break it down for you to understand them. Rafael is very well educated in any part of the business world. No matter what classes you are taking as a business major, Rafael would be the go to guy.
Many people are knowledgeable about these subjects but are not able to teach them to people. Rafael is not only knowledgeable about the subjects but he is also a great teacher and a down to earth person. He has a lot of background in finance, economics, and accounting. I am an accounting major currently in my junior year of college and taking my first accounting classes. I plan on having more lessons with Rafael as my education continues and my courses get tougher.
Even though we were going over Financial Accounting, I learned a lot more from Rafael that pertains to economics and finance that will help me in other classes as well. No matter what your major is, or whether or not you are in college yet, Rafael will give you the tools and motivation you need to succeed!
Rafael is able to assess and build a plan based on future "obstacles" the student may encounter in a hard business class. Moreover, his "no nonsense", "let's get to work", yet kind manner demeanor is exactly what I am looking for.
The only other thing I have ever had a tutor for was for my SATs back in high school, so I was a little wary about getting one for financial accounting, but I definitely needed to pass this class. I came to WyzAnt and I am so happy that I did. Rafael has helped me gain confidence in this subject, which I did not have at all. He actually wanted to make sure I understood the concepts and knew how to do the problems.
He was very patient with me. It sometimes would take me awhile to fully grasp some things and he was very understanding that it is a lot more difficult for some people. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that struggles in financial accounting. It is a great investment! I will definitely be in contact with him again once I start managerial accounting.
I was very fortunate to have Rafael as my tutor for an Intermediate Accounting course I recently had. The Intermediate Accounting course was much more advanced than my previous accounting courses so the concepts and homework was frustrating trying to figure it out on my own. It was not until I started my tutoring sessions with Rafael, that I gained an understanding of the subject. Rafael has a great way of explaining the concepts and how to organize the overwhelming information on the homework. He was always very professional and patient. I would not have done as well in the course if it was not for the tutoring sessions. I will definitely use Rafael for any future Accounting courses I take.
Rafael was an amazing accounting tutor. Things that seemed difficult to me he was able to break down the problem and help to understand the issue at hand. Rafael has provided excellent services and is always willing to help with any area of accounting. It was a pleasure working with Rafael for my accounting classes.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I'm a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
I have been working in the business field since 2009. I have had the opportunity to work in accounting, finance, and business strategy departments of companies. Having the opportunity to work in those three departments has allowed me to understand the importance of external business factors (e.g. competition, regulatory environment, etc.) and internal factors (e.g. quality, budgeting, scorecards) and how they play a role in the competitiveness of a company. I currently hold a bachelor's and master's degree in accounting, and I'm a certified public accountant.
