Hi there!

My name is Jasmin, and I'm a senior at UCF who majors in Statistics. For me, teaching starts with my 1 year old daughter, who loves to learn words and sign language, and my 10 year old nephew,

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I've had years upon years of using Algebra successfully, and use Algebra regularly in the many advanced math courses needed for my pursuit of a B.S in Statistics.

I feel qualified to tutor English based on my excellent academic history in English language classes, my passion for reading and writing, and my aptitude for vocabulary. I have taken several university level English classes with great success, love to read and write short stories in my free time, and love to help develop a love for language in others.

I have successfully completed courses at the University of Central Florida in both "Matrix and Linear Algebra" and "Numerical Calculus" with "A" grades. As you might guess, Linear Algebra was covered extensively in Matrix and Linear Algebra. Iterative approximations to true solutions for several types of matrices was also covered in Numerical Calculus. As such, I believe I have a firm grasp of this topic.

I have completed the "Logic and Proof In Mathematics" course at the University of Central Florida with an "A". This course rigorously covers proof techniques used in the Mathematic and Scientific communities, such as direct proofs, proofs by contrapositive, proofs by contradiction, proofs by minimum counterexample, and the general and strong principles of mathematical induction.

Moreover, the course gave me a knowledge of several tools used in proofs, such as "truth tables", tautologies and contradictions, congruence modulo n, relations, equivalence relations, functions, etc.

Thus, I believe I have a thorough understanding of theories in Logic.

As an avid reader myself, I believe I'm equipped to handle any questions students have in regards to pronunciation and definitions, since the amount of time I've spent reading has exposed me to such an extensive vocabulary.

Furthermore, I've had experience reading with children of various ages by virtue of my large and extended family. I am used to the kind of patience needed to guide them through difficult texts.

I've taken both the last SAT and ACT before with excellent scores. On the ACT, I scored a 31 - within the top 5 percentile for that year. Furthermore, I love teaching and would be happy to share my knowledge to help your son achieve excellence on the tests.

I have accumulated over three years worth of Statistical knowledge while studying at UNF and UCF with a major in Statistics. I have had a 4.0 major GPA for 3 semesters, and a 3.8+ major GPA for 6 semesters.

Moreover, I have experience tutoring in Statistics and my students have gone on to achieve Bs or higher in their courses. As such, I believe I have both the knowledge and the teaching skills necessary to help students gain a higher understanding of Statistics.
