My name is Sade (pronounced shah-day)! I'll graduate from Jacksonville University with my Bachelor's of Business Administration in Accounting this coming Fall. After, I will continue to further my education in Accounting by obtaining my Master's of Science in Business Analytics.
My very first accounting professor's class was energetic and thought-provoking. She encouraged us to think high level and understand accounting in the big picture of business and life. My approach to tutoring students embodies this experience. Not just memorizing facts, but analyzing and understanding concepts in a way that doesn't feel so textbook. My tutoring style is transforming textbook concepts into real-world thinking which leads to faster comprehension and long-term retention of important principles.

My passion for helping students started back in my sophomore year in high school where I volunteered during my lunch hours as a peer tutor. For the past two years, I have extended this passion to my current position as one of 30 official tutors for Jacksonville University's Academic Support Center. I've helped students in Accounting and other upper-level business courses offered by the university. I've tutored 150+ hours in my time at the university and I strive to make students feel empowered to learn with as little or as much help from me as needed. My love of learning and problem-solving is contagious and it's a skill I love to bring to every session.

As an accounting student in the final year of my degree I've managed to maintain a high GPA and plan to sit for Certified Management Accountant Exam this coming July. I have to analyze and problem solve daily in my studies. These skills are not natural, but learned and applied everyday. This is why I work with students to better not only their technical skills, but their memory and study skills.

If you're interested in a session with me, I'd love to chat about how I can add value to your learning experience! :)

knowledgable and patient tutor

Sade knew the material very well and she explained it in a way that helped me to understand it. I would recommend her to fellow classmates or anyone seeking tutoring in accounting.
