About Amber

I have worked with refugee and immigrant children, adolescents, and adults for eight years. I really enjoy getting to know students and their individual goals and dreams. I feel a lot of fulfillment when students have that 'aha" moment when they connect with the material and grasp the concepts. Learning is a lifelong journey, and we're all in this together. Please contact me to tell me more about what you would like to accomplish and learn. I would be happy to help in anyway that I can.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology and a Master of Arts in Cultural Sustainability. I have studied courses in Folklore, History, Cultural Anthropology, Physical Anthropology, Archaeology, and Cultural Heritage and Resource Management.

I am a native English speaker and have worked with refugee and immigrant youth and adults English-language learners for eights years. For two years, I lived and worked in Thailand, along the border with Burma. While there I taught English and Literature for adult refugee English language learners. I also have a certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) that I received while living in Thailand.

I enjoy all aspects of global Geography, including locations, landmarks, history, and the diverse peoples and cultures of the world.

I am a passionate, positive, and encouraging person. I want to help you succeed and achieve your goals and dreams for your education. Please contact me if you would like to know more. Thank you!
