I am currently an experienced High School Math teacher in St. Johns county. I am State Certified in General Knowledge Math and Math 6 - 12. I specialize in tutoring Algebra and Geometry and I have taught and tutored students and adults in Algebra I and II, Geometry, Math College Readiness, SAT/ACT Math preparation, and life skills.
I take pride in my ability to find each student's individual learning style, and then using the best teaching method to maximize his or her success in Math. It is a blessing to see the joy in young and not so young faces when they learn concepts, processes and application of principles as they start to independently solve problems.
I am looking forward to hearing from you and being an asset in helping you achieve your Math goals. I am currently an experienced High School Math teacher in St. Johns county. I was very impressed with Ron. He seemed to be very patient and took the time to make sure my son was understanding each problem. Great first impression!
This is what my son's math teacher sent to me after studying with Ron: "I just wanted to take the time this morning to let you know how proud I am of B's effort in class this week. I was most impressed yesterday with his participation--he raised his hand no less than five times to answer questions. I spoke to him after class to let him know how happy I was. I think that working with another student in class (especially when Brendn has an opportunity to help the other student) has had tremendous results. I am sure that his tutor has a lot to do with this change ..."
He is a great tutor, and he really helped my son to understand, a lot better about his algebra homework.
Mr. Ron has been doing an excellent job in helping our son in Algebra. Before Mr. Ron began tutoring our son, he hated Algebra and had a very low self esteem regarding math all together. Now, he has confidence and takes each assignment as if it is just a walk in the park. The anxiety is gone and he gets it. We look forward to seeing Mr. Ron each week. He not only brings his A Game when he comes to tutor he also bring excitement and energy that fills the entire house! Thank you Mr. Ron for making a positive difference in our son's life!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
