I tutored students in math and physics courses such as algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and physics with calculus. In Addition, I was responsible in assisting students in order for them to pass the math portion of the ACT test.
I was a Math Lab Assistant for Florida Community college from January 1999 to May 1999. I started tutoring after I had completed the calculus III course at Florida Community College at Jacksonvill which is now known as Florida State College at Jacksonville. I loved tutoring students and realized that they needed more time to be assisted and found myself volunteering after hours to make sure that they understood their subject matter. I knew then because of my patience, persistance, and determination that I had a passion for helping students and proceeded on by turning tutoring into my private side business by handing business cards at different institutional campuses.
Most of my clients were from Florida Community College, some of them were studying to finish their particular major and some of them were trying to achieve a promotion at their present job by finishing certain math courses. Some students needed to make an A grade and nothing less in order to pass the course. Since I had taken most of the math courses that the students have taken, I felt confident in knowing that I was going to help the students in a timely manner and being able to tell the students that they will most likely see similar math problems or applications in future math courses. Every math problem which students learn today whether it is simple or not ends up being part of a higher math problem in future courses.
I can tutor students in Prealgebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, and Differential Equations, Physics 1 with Calculus and Physics 2 with Calculus.
Don't wait any further I am ready to help at a convenient time in which we both will agree on setting an appointment. I am very flexible with the time and location of where you want to meet. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
