University of Florida (Classics, Physics)
Hello! I am a Senior at the University of Florida with informal experience tutoring fellow classmates and a good grasp of a wide variety of subjects. I love interacting with people of all age groups and streamlining the learning process with different learning techniques using everything from mnemonics to diagrams to drawings; I believe in maximizing understanding with the greatest level of efficiency. What's more, I strongly believe in utilizing an active learning approach that doesn't discourage a student's future willingness and desire to learn.
In regards to my formal experience, I am currently majoring in Classics with a concentration in Ancient Languages-- Latin in particular-- and am also majoring in Physics. I also completed all required coursework in the pre-med track. Thus, I have a great background in math up to Differential Equations, all elementary subjects, and in other sciences including Chemistry, Biology and Biochemistry. I also have been a lifelong artist with college coursework completed in Art History and Studio Art as well as the in Humanities, subjects which I am absolutely fascinated by. I also love History and literature and hope to bring my fascination for these and any aforementioned subjects to those that I teach.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
