About Robert

I have a passion for the field of psychology. I have been teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level since 1991. I have been in the field of teaching since 1990's. I have a BS degree in Psychology, a Master's in Learning Disability, a Master's in Counseling Psychology, and a Doctorate in Counseling and School Psychology.

I have worked for years in Mental Health, Counseling and Therapy, Assessments of children and adolescents. I have consulted and worked in the area of Forensic Psychology.

I am currently teaching as an adjunct professor at a local college. I am interested In tutoring because I like helping students. Compensation for tutoring can be negotiated since it is not high on my list as important.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Aspergers

I have worked as a psychologist for many years with K through 12th grade students who have Aspergers. I also have a graduate degree from SUNY college at Buffalo in Learning and Behavioral Disorders. In addition to a BA degree, a Masters' degree, I earned a doctorate degree in Psychology from VA Tech. I have completed psychological assessments for more than 20 years on children and adolescents who were Aspergers. I also consulted for many years with parents who have children and adolescents displaying Aspergers.

Autism

I have worked for more than 20 years as a psychologist with children and adolescents from preschool to high school who have been identified with Autism. As a psychologist in the educational setting, I have completed psychological assessments on students with Autism. I have more than 20 years consulting with parents who have children with Autism.

My formal education is a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Special Education, a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, and a Doctorate degree in Psychology.

Career Development

I have worked as a psychologist for more than 20 years with children and adolescents. I have helped students with career development plans while working in public education. Additionally, I have worked with young adults at the college level with making career development decisions based on their personality, academic, and cognitive abilities.

I have a doctorate in counseling. I have supervised grad level students in counseling and psych and mental health.

I have also helped college students with study skills in organizing, planning and taking tests.
