Experienced (15+ years), Patient, Effective.
I've been a private tutor for over 15 years.
As an undergraduate at University of Central Florida (GO KNIGHTS!), I worked part-time as a tutor in the Math Dept.'s Math Lab. There I learned those techniques most effective to bring a student along further than they'd even thought possible. I gained from that time an appreciation for educating others, and sharing with them the joy that comes with understanding new concepts and widening one's perspective.

Great start!
Was with Robert! Was a great first lesson, got to learn my weakness and where I need to focus, it’s only our first session, can’t wait to keep going!

Setting you up for success - Algebra 2 Honors
My son needs help with Algebra 2 Honors. Robert went through reviewing some past and current lessons that my son is struggling with. He has done a good job setting him up on a plan to get him up to where he needs to be. We plan to continue to use him in the future on a regular basis.

Excellent Tutor
Robert is super knowledgeable and very good at making the subject matter easy to understand. He also gave great pointers on ways I can improve on my own. 10/10!

Dependable and can explain things in a simple fashion.
My son appreciates the way Robert explains concepts in an understandable way. The math concepts have been difficult for him in the past and now he can grasp how to perform the problems.

Accommodating and helpful
We went over the theory behind hypothesis tests, the null hypothesis and the alternative hypothesis, type I and type II errors, two way contingency tables and chi-squared tests of independence, finding the expected value in two-way tables, interpreting the p-value, and using it to determine if rejection of the null hypothesis is warranted by the data.

Knowledgeable, approachable, and enthusiastic
Robert is a great tutor. He is very patient and incredibly enthusiastic about everything. He makes learning fun. I love reviewing calculus with him and his enthusiasm for math rubs off. Today we went over the chain rule, finding the velocity and acceleration functions from the position function and finding the equation of a tangent line to a curve, and finding the average velocity and average acceleration.

Motivation
Robert is trying to motivate my unmotivated son. He is believing in him and really seems to care about him. He is patient, never makes my son feel inferior or stupid, just the opposite. My son looks forward to his time with Robert.
