Hi there,

My name is Vladimir and I am a post-baccalaureate student currently attending the University of North Florida pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Minor: Construction Management) and also working towards a Certificate in Coastal and Port Engineering. My first degree is a Bachelor of Science in Physics (Magna Cum Laude) with a Minor in Mathematics.

My academic record consists of numerous accolades consisting of both academic and professional experiences. My most recent academic award was that of "Outstanding Physics Graduate (Academic Year 2011 - 2012)" supplemented by induction into several honor societies: Phi Kappi Phi (National Honorary Society - 2012), Pi Mu Epsilon (National Honorary Mathematics Society - 2011), Sigma Pi Sigma (National Physics Honor Society - 2010), and Excellence Student Awards Program in Physics (2008). Professional academic experience consists of research at the University of North Florida (Computational Neuroscience - 2011), Columbia University (Computational High-Energy Astroparticle Physics - 2010), and Florida State University (Computational Mathematical Biology - 2009).

I started my tutoring career at Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2006 in Mathematics tutoring various subjects within the field of mathematics: beginning algebra, intermediate algebra, college algebra, elementary statistics, etc. This was soon followed by tutoring experience in Physics starting fall semester 2009 following my transfer to the University of North Florida. Hence, I've been tutoring various mathematics subjects since 2006 (7+ years of experience) as well as physics since 2009 (4+ years of experience), thus, I would consider myself well versed in both mathematics and the sciences. I have a passion for tutoring (as well as teaching) because not only do I enjoy the subjects that I tutor but also knowing that I played a part in the academic success of my tutees and students!

Great tutor

Very patient and explains well. Answered all questions to best ability and was very helpful. I would recommend for anyone who works better figuring things out with guidance.

Sheila, 7 lessons with Vlad

Very good

He was good at identifying my weaknesses and helping me overcome them. He helped me identify even weaknesses that I did not know that I have, and I do appreciate that more than anything.

Excellent Tutor

Vladimir is an exceptional tutor. He is patient and understanding. He understands children and works with them in a positive manner. My grandson is doing much better with Vladimir as his tutor. I would recommend Vladimir to anyone and will continue to have him tutor my grandson.

Great tutor!

He helped my daughter go over subjects that she is struggling with in Algebra1. He was able to meet us on very short notice and helped her a lot! Very knowledgeable.

Precalculus tutor that is knowledgeable and effective

Vladimer was able to quickly identify our son's needs. What I liked most about his teaching style was that he made him think and didn't just give answers. After 2 tutoring lessons he was able to retake the failed exam and his grade improved to passing. More than that, he is finally talking positively about math abilities. He has gone from I hate math to precalculus isn't that hard!

Angela, 2 lessons with Vlad

I would call his a master tutor

Vladimir is very knowable in math. He has helped my son with all of the following areas: Linear Functions * Midpoint Formula * Distance Formula * Line Segment Analysis * Solving Equations We would have been able to do it with someone who has mastered the subject.
