Hi! My name is Elli. I'm from Florida, USA, and I have a deep rooted love of storytelling and writing. I'm a creative writer and love working with students across different backgrounds, cultures, ages, and interests. I love seeing the ways language and storytelling shape individuals lives and persons, especially when they feel truly seen by a piece of literature, and I love witnessing the confidence that comes from realizing the power we wield through language.

I recently graduated with my Master's Degree in English from the University of North Florida, where I worked as a Graduate Assistant and writing tutor for their Writing Center for 2+ years. I also worked as a Teaching Assistant during my final semester and had the opportunity to lead several classes and meet with students. During my time at UNF's Writing Center, I had the opportunity to work one on one with students in many different fields and with different experience levels, including ELL and ESL students, students with learning disabilities such as ADHD, and students with ASD. I also have experience working with pre-k through 5th grade, and have one-on-one, private tutoring experience with middle school, high school, and college students.

I focus on creative, affirmative, student led tutoring methods, letting student's lead conversations about writing and starting with the areas where they feel they need the most help, and allowing me to adapt for each individuals needs. I believe that all language is, in some respect, creative, and that learning is a process that requires nuanced and creative solutions. I would love to give you the tools to help you find your voice, build confidence, and discover the extent that language can impact your life!
