Flordia A&M University (Pre-Medicine Biology)
My name is Thandi. In me you will find exceptional qualities, namely, the ability to think critically and to solve problems. Academically, I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Biology (Pre-Medicine) from Florida A&M University. My skill-set as a biologist allots me the propensity to have a working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and histology. I am comfortable doing clerical work and proficient with computer systems and platforms.
In addition to this, I have gained relevant working experience as a Teaching Assistant and a Biology Tutor for two years at Florida A&M where I facilitated instruction in Embryology, Molecular Biology, Histology, Vertebrate Physiology, and Microbiology, to name a few. During my time at university I also devoted significant time to academic and pre-clinical cancer research. In my native Trinidad and Tobago I worked as a EMT for three years before relocating to the United States to further my education.
I worked in the Science Study Laboratory at Florida A&M University for 2 years. I was the only tutor for the Biological Sciences at this organization. I tutored hundreds of students in disciplines ranging from Histology to General Biology 1. It is my goal to improve the study skills and habits of all the students I tutor so they will be better all round students.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
