Hi, I’m Christine! I graduated valedictorian in high school (7.16 GPA) and will be graduating college cum laude with a B.S. in biochemistry along with a minor in pathogenesis (3.9 GPA). With all this in mind, I specialize in tutoring for chemistry and mathematics. I have been enrolled in honors math throughout high school and advanced to calculus II where I consistently scored above a 90 on the exams and as an overall class average. As stated earlier, I will soon be graduating with a B.S. in biochemistry meaning I have enrolled and earned high marks on all chemical courses equipping me with the knowledge to diligently prepare you for any future chemistry courses. I was enrolled in AP chemistry, biology, and physics where I earned the respective college credit for each. Having this experience allows me to better understand the objectives of each course which results in a more personalized tutoring experience for you!
I have 3 years of teaching a variety of college level courses in an online setting. In addition, I have been tutoring younger family in STEM classes throughout their middle and high school years. Teaching online consisted of being assigned a small group of 20-30 students in which I would begin with establishing what prior knowledge they had followed by utilizing mnemonics or real life examples to introduce new concepts. Afterwards, the material will be explained in further depth followed by practice problems and a short recap before ending the lesson. Similarly, tutoring younger family has equipped with insight on how to teach small children without losing their interest. For instance, I would often give small rewards like stickers, or treats as an incentive to progress through the lesson plan.
As a full time college student, I would like to make it known that I require a 12 hour cancellation notice. Additionally, I am open to holding a consultation meeting for any prospective students. I hope to help every student become confident in their abilities and succeed in the desired course.
