I have a younger brother who is 11 and has minor learning disabilities. I have always loved helping my brother in school and realize that some students just need to be taught the material a couple of times to truly understand it. Tutors have helped me through every school I have attended, including college, and I realize the significance a tutor can have on a student’s education.
I am in ROTC in college so I see the same 80+ people a week. Each one of us has to complete calculus 1 and 2 regardless of our major. Since I had calculus in high school, my freshmen year I was one of the few who already knew calculus while all of my friends were taking it. I held study sessions weekly with some friends to help them since they were struggling. I have done this multiple times while I have been in college since everyone new to ROTC has to take calculus. It is something I love doing and will be happy to help in any way.
I have always loved math and it is something I use every day for my major. Math is extremely important but not everyone sees how it is used in the real world. I love teaching it and am more than happy to explain why each subject in math is important
I surf, played a lot of sports growing up, and play video games. We can talk about whatever you want during study breaks.
