About Theodora

I am currently a college student at the University of Florida studying to receive my Bachelor of Science in Psychology on the pre-med track! I am currently a freshman, but my last 2 years in high school I was an ACT tutor for a tutoring company, and I tutored students individually in all subjects including english, reading, and math. I graduated in the top 10% of my class and received a 32 on the ACT with a perfect score on the ACT English. I am currently a volunteer with MentorUF at a local elementary school and mentor young elementary students. I love working with students and look forward to tutoring!

I excelled in Algebra 1 in high school and received a 5 on the end of course exam. I'm currently in calculus at UF. I love math!

I received a perfect score on the ACT English and I know all of the tricks on how to get there! I was an ACT tutor for 2 years and loved doing it! I loved seeing students excel and raise their scores.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ACT English

I am qualified to tutor in this specific subject because I received a near perfect score on this portion of the ACT, a 35. I have tons of experience tutoring students in this area on the ACT, and I love doing so! It's so much easier than it looks, just by learning a few tricks that I can teach. I have a list of go-to english rules that helped me achieve this score, just by some memorization and practice! I know the keys to success on this portion of the exam.

ACT Reading

I received a 30 on this portion on the exam not too long ago! I'm currently a freshman in college, and I took the test the summer before my senior year. During my junior and senior year, I worked at a tutoring company and taught this subject, and my senior year I was also a TA for an intensive reading teacher, so I am an expert on reading comprehension, and know what it takes to get a great score on this exam!

Algebra 1

Although it's been years that I've taken Algebra 1, I received a 5 on the End of Course exam, and have excelled in more complex algebras like Algebra 2 and College Algebra. I'm currently in Calculus 1 at the University of Florida and have always had a love for math!

Proofreading

I have always been great at grammar, and always get a perfect grammar score on my essays! I always proofread friends' essays, so I have a lot of experience with not only proofreading, but helping them find a better way of saying things. I love English, so this is right up my alley!

Writing

I received 100% on this qualification test. It is a lot like the ACT English, which I received a 35 on. I've gotten all A's in every English class I've taken and love to write. Teachers and Professors are impressed by my writing ability and writing mechanics. I always help my friends every time they have to write an essay and really enjoy helping students become better writers.
