According to a survey by CBS News, Hampden-Sydney College ranks among Ivy League Schools as one of the toughest grading schools in the nation. I took Latin for 6 years, focusing not only on the language but also Greco-Roman cultures. In addition, I am a member of Hampden-Sydney College's Classical Studies Honor Society. Courses such as "Classical Themes in Films and Television" helped draw parallels between Greco-Roman culture and modern western cultures.
