Universita Ca' Foscari Venice Italy (Italian language)
I have grown up in Venice, Italy. I attended a high school aimed to prepare it's students to teach in preschools after graduation. The most important subjects were psychology and education.
I have had experience tutoring elementary and middle school students in all subjects: Math, Italian, English, History, Geography, Science. During high school I have also helped my school mates which were in classes behind of mine with homework. I have always been available to help with studying who asked for a hand, because I've always enjoyed sharing knowledge.
I have experience in teaching a foreign language to a child, as I have worked on teaching English to an Italian elementary kid for two years.
I got my bachelor's degree in Italian language and literature because of my love for language and in particular for the Italian language. That's the reason why I would like to teach it in a foreign country to kids, teens or adults that are interested in learning it. My university course also included studies regarding world history, geography, philosophy and linguistics.
I am a very curious person and as I enjoy learning always new things, I like to share my experiences with others.
Italian is my first speaking language and my degree in Italian language and literature increased my knowledge and competence.
Depending on the age and preparation of the student lessons can be structured in different ways. I enjoy teaching kids with a playful and exciting approach with an active learning strategy. While for older students the grammar and structure of the Italian language represent the first steps.
I look forward to hearing from anybody who is willing to take their first steps into the Italian language or practicing there skills. Other than learning the Italian language you can have a wider view on the Italian culture that can comprehend any particular subject someone may be interested in: Italian food, Italian art or Italian society can be topics to be developed together during an active speaking lesson. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
