I have developed a solid foundation in advertising as a talented Graphic Artist. And I was brought up in Bloomfield Connecticut and graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1979. I went on to further his education by attending Morse School of Business studying business and computers.
After I graduated my first graphic design job was at U-Design. U-Design started at the beginning of the Desktop Publishing era. There I became proficient in typesetting, layout and design. I became a seasoned graphic artist utilizing MacWrite, MacDraw, MacPaint and Ready-Set-Go.
Then later during my employment at U-Design, I was introduced to Aldus Pagemaker and Aldus Freehand. From learning and honing his typefaces, graphics and layout skills I became top in my profession.
I later became a teacher in Desktop Publishing and then a manager at Kinko’s (now known as FedEx). Over the years, I have held positions as an Art Director, Manager and Teacher in the creative craft of Graphic Design. I have over 30 years of teaching and/or tutoring.
In 1993 he moved to Key West Florida and later Fort Lauderdale Florida in 1999 where he resides now. One of Sean’s specialties and passion is utilizing Adobe Creative Suite to create publications. From magazines to newspapers, newsletters, books and catalogs, Sean has always excelled as a freelance artist.
Various individuals and companies over the decades have benefited from his talents. In April of 2010 I went one step further and started his own business: SRM Graphics & Printing. The business has grown every year since teaching, creating and designing top quality product for numerous clients, which is why they keep coming back, often utilizing Sean for their end customers; his reputation for efficiency has made him a powerful ally in business. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have utilized InDesign in the field of Publications and Advertisements, creating both ads and layout for newspapers, magazines, books, catalogs, and newsletters. Also I have created business cards, stationary, flyers, brochures, banners, menus, greeting cards, postcards, charts/carbonless forms, logos, door hangers using InDesign. I have used both InDesign on both Macintosh and Personal Computers systems. InDesign versions I have used over the years are CS1, to CS6. I also went to PC Professor in Boca Raton, FL, I was certified in Illustrator and InDesign.
I have 30 years experience in Graphic Design in the field of Advertising/Publishing of Magazines, Newspapers, Newsletters, Books and Catalogs. I attended PC Professor in Boca Raton, FL, and have certification in Multi-Media Web Design, Development, and Optimization.
